How it all started...
The history of our church is a long one. In 1961, under Pastor Earl Jackson, we were organized as the Mulberry Baptist church and met in the old Miami Elementary School building until 1963 when we purchased our current property and moved in that year. And then in 1980 the church was lead to change the name to Calvary Baptist Church and we have operated under than name ever since. Pastor Jackson retired from ministry in 2012
Expanding the vision...
In August of 2016 the Lord lead Pastor Matt to come to Calvary and "replant" the church after 3 1/2 years of looking for a our next leader. In the years that followed we have seen revival of the spirit within the church, a growth in the membership of the church, and a repurposing towards the community outside of the church.
Where we are headed...
With the momentum we are seeing at Calvary we are anxious to see where the Lord leads His church here in Milford. We are expecting further growth in all areas, but we are also expanding our media, online, and "groups" ministries of the church to meet the future needs of our community as well as updating the building a little at a time.
